"Under My Skin" is the very first piece of my night-painting series made with the method of 'automatic painting'. It is lit by led lights from the backside, which allows it to take on an appearance totally different from its daylight version, as the backlight reveals the underlying TRUE colours of the painting and highlights its vein-like texture (the physical allegory of scratching the surface). 
Unfortunately, the camera was unable to capture the perfect cherry colour of the lit middle square. In fact, the painting looks surprisingly better in live than in the pictures.
